Megan + Braden Save the Dates

Megan asked us to design a save the date based on a design we were using on our Etsy shop for stamps and Christmas cards. She loved the fonts and wreath used in the original design, and wanted it to be translated to a save the date. Honestly, I think the photography and the super cute couple make this card. I'm glad I could pitch in my little part. But honestly, the groom is wearing a plaid blazer in the pic. LOVE IT. Megan requested a matching stamp so they could stamp the return address themselves. They can also use the stamp for all of the couple's future correspondence!

Elizabeth + Eric Save the Dates

We recently designed a save the date for a client who saw paper items in an issue of Celebrate Magazine that I had designed while I was art director. The story in the magazine was a rehearsal dinner, and the menus used this bird motif with a monogram in the center. My client requested that this design be translated to a Save the Date, and I think it worked perfectly!

Jamie and Blair Save the Date

Happy Monday! We are continuing our save-the-date postcard roll out! Today, we are sharing Jamie and Blair's save-the-date. Jamie and Blair are friends of Sarah's that I've LOVED getting to know over the past few months. They are adorable together and I'm so glad they wanted to work with us. Today's post is a little different, because we are going to show the option that Jamie and Blair chose, as well as the other two that we designed. When we design a custom piece for you, we design up to 3 options for Save the Dates. From that point, we work with you until we have the perfect design. The first card below was the winner, the others were a close second and third! Enjoy!

Britton and Blake Save the Date

We are on a roll! I know I said we were continuing with the postcard save the dates, but I just couldn't wait to share this one. The bride knew she wanted to use a classic monogram with neutral shades. Originally, the plan was a post card design. But when it came to choosing a picture, it was hard to narrow down! Britton decided to go with the envelope format instead, so a second picture could be used. We also printed corresponding return addresses on the envelopes for an overall cohesive touch. Enjoy!

Maegan and Rich Save the Date

And we are back for round dos of Save the Date postcards! Today we are sharing Maegan and Rich. When we met with Maegan, she was telling us that she wanted a picture on the postcard...and Rich did not! Now, we can design either way, however... I told her that to me, a picture is personal and your guests immediately place that face with the date. Plus they get to look at your pretty mug for months! So we won Rich over, and this is what we came up with! Enjoy

Lindsay and Jason's Save the Dates

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! The day after Christmas can be a busy day for us...it's the day after a lot of gals say YES to their man! Venues are booked, bridesmaids are counted, and it's time to think about the first paper piece for the big day: the Save the Date! We LOVE save the dates, not only because they are fun to design, but also because this is the first anything guests will catch a glimpse of leading up to the wedding day! For all those summer weddings coming up, you'll want your Save the Date to really stand out amongst the others covering the pin boards and fridges of your friends and family. We offer a variety of Save the Dates, but our favorite and most popular is the postcard format. There are several benefits here. They are cost effective (no envelope, cheaper postage), and guests LOVE receiving them. So today, we'll share the first of three Save the Date postcards that we've done recently.

Lindsay and Jason are the cutest couple, from Mobile, Alabama. Jason's sister was a college friend of mine that lived in the house across the street while we were at Auburn. Lindsay would come visit and stay with us on weekends, and I was thrilled to find out a few years later that Lindsay and Jason were dating! Lindsay knew she wanted to use a classic monogram for the wedding suite. This monogram will also be used on the invitations.

Capitol Hill Save the Dates

I designed these save-the-dates for a couple in Washington D.C. that was looking for a simple design that incorporated the iconic Capitol building and especially the Washington monument. With a palette of grays and blush, you really can't go wrong! I love a wedding piece that out-of-town guests are excited to receive, and sets the tone for the wedding weekend. These measure 4.25 x 6.25 and were sent with a matching gray envelope. I always offer a few different options on custom orders, and thought I'd share another of the options. I like it just as much!

Annie + Zac Save the Date

Sharing a postcard Save the Date with you! This D.C. wedding is another event we are working on with Pineapple Productions and as always, we are absolutely thrilled! Annie and Zac are will be married in the National Cathedral in D.C.!!! Amazing, right?

Lisa + Toby Save the Date

Here is another fabulous project we've been working on with Pineapple Productions in D.C. Its always such a pleasure to work with these girls and their clients! The bride collected vintage postcards from St. Michaels, Marylandm and specifically the Maritime Museum (the wedding venue) for the Save the Date postcard. We love designing these postcards. They are always one of a kind, and add such a special touch to the big day. We are using the rest of the collection of postcards for the table numbers at the reception, as well as guest postcards! Guests will be able to send postcards from the wedding weekend! We will definitely post more from this wedding in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Mary + John Save the Date

Here's a save the date that I recently finished for a fabulous couple in Washington D.C. who have been collecting vintage postcards to use in their celebration! We picked a favorite to use for the save the dates, the rest was used for paper goods at the actual ceremony and reception!

Mark your calendars...

Email me with any questions about these designs or creating a new design! I'd love to hear from you!

This is a Save the Date I customized for a friend in Texas. We chose to do a skinny vertical format with top open envelopes, and I'm so happy with the outcome! These can be customized for your event or occasion! Just email me! jessicaempress@gmail.com
