Libba + Will: Gold letterpress Wedding invitations

I have been dying to share these invitations since we got them back from our amazing letterpress extraordinaire Patrick Masterson! These are our first venture into gold foil letterpress and we are officially obsessed. When we met Libba and Will, Libba knew exactly what she wanted...no guess work for me at all! We designed the custom monogram first, and then a classic invitation design. We also decided to paint the edges of the invitation metallic gold for a little pop! We wrapped the wedding suite with silk antique gold ribbon for the perfect finish. So in love with these, can't get over it.

Lindsay + Jason Wedding Invitations

Remember Lindsay and Jason's Save the date? (I posted it below incase you don't recall!) The big day is this Saturday, and we wanted to share the wedding suite with you! We love Lindsay and Jason and were so honored to design the wedding invitations. Lindsay wanted a gate fold with a matching belly band. And lots of monogram! We are in love with these!

Megan + Braden Save the Dates

Megan asked us to design a save the date based on a design we were using on our Etsy shop for stamps and Christmas cards. She loved the fonts and wreath used in the original design, and wanted it to be translated to a save the date. Honestly, I think the photography and the super cute couple make this card. I'm glad I could pitch in my little part. But honestly, the groom is wearing a plaid blazer in the pic. LOVE IT. Megan requested a matching stamp so they could stamp the return address themselves. They can also use the stamp for all of the couple's future correspondence!

Katelyn & Jay Couples Shower

We were asked to design a couples shower invitation last month for some awesome friends of ours. Working with the bride's color palette, we designed an invitation and a corresponding recipe card for guests and family to fill out (I think this is one of the best ideas!) We loved how these invitations turned out, one of my favorites! This could translate easily into a wedding suite. I just might do it : )

Elizabeth + Eric Save the Dates

We recently designed a save the date for a client who saw paper items in an issue of Celebrate Magazine that I had designed while I was art director. The story in the magazine was a rehearsal dinner, and the menus used this bird motif with a monogram in the center. My client requested that this design be translated to a Save the Date, and I think it worked perfectly!

Megan + Britton: Featured on Style Me Pretty!

We found out last week that Empress was featured on Style Me Pretty! We are thrilled!!! We worked with Megan and Britton last year for their October 2012 wedding. The design was classic, elegant, and letterpressed beautifully by Patrick Masterson on ivory with a shade of dove gray ink. We are so happy to share this with you today! See the full feature here!

Alice + Clarence Wedding Day Paper

And here is another July wedding paper package we were able to design for Pineapple Productions! Alice and Clarence wanted clean lines with a touch of fancy...which I love. With a color palette of gray and coral, you can't go wrong! Included in this paper package: long skinny wedding program, welcome notes/itineraries for guests, and a label for favors and sweets!

Whitney + Keegan Wedding Weekend

We teamed up with Pineapple Productions again for an awesome wedding weekend in DC for Whitney and Keegan! Whitney knew she wanted a vintage touch, with corals, gold tones, and ivory. Included in the paper package were postcards designed for out-of-town guests to send home, as well as menus, favor tags, guest box labels, and itineraries for the weekend.

Brian + Stephen Wedding Suite

I'm so excited to share this wedding suite today! I worked for Brian when I was an Art Director at Hoffman Media. When he and his fiance Stephen asked me to design their wedding suite, I was so honored and excited to work with such an amazing couple. Working off of the last names Hart and Hoffman, we decided on a double H monogram, one H being cradled and intwined with the other. With a masculine navy, white, and silver color palette, the invitation is mounted inside of a navy pocket enclosure with the response and information cards stacked neatly on the right. The enclosure is finished with a monogrammed seal. Finally, no suite is complete without a good supply of correspondence notes! The suite and monogram are featured in Victoria Magazine's Monogram Special Issue. Be sure to grab a copy, on news stands now!

EMPRESS FEATURED ON MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS

We feel so honored and blessed to be able to say that Empress is featured this morning on Martha Stewart Weddings! These pieces are from a wedding in Keswick, Virginia and I've been dying to share it with you. But I wanted to wait for Martha to share first! This is another wonderful event planned by Pineapple Productions who we have worked with on many occasions. We also want to thank Lynne Brubaker Photography for the wonderful pictures. Go check it out!

Alden + Gavin Wedding Day

We had the pleasure of once again working with Pineapple Productions on a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Middleburg, Virginia this past spring that I've been waiting to share. I am beyond thrilled that Weddings Unveiled Magazine chose to feature Alden and Gavin's special day. This was an amazing couple that was brought together through the mutual love of horses and horse training. They have a fabulous story that you'll have to read in the magazine, but as you can see, we strived for true equestrian excellence! Special thanks to Jennifer Hughes Photography and of course the girls at Pineapple Productions!

St. Patricks Wedding

A St. Michaels Soiree

I once again had the pleasure of working with Pineapple Productions for a wedding in St. Michaels, Maryland. You may remember the Save the Dates I previously posted, and I promised more from this beautiful wedding so...here it is! All photography courtesy of the verytalented Jacqueline Campbell. Visit her blog for more gorgeous pictures from the event.
For this special day, we designed postcards for guests to leave sweet words for Lisa & Toby. What a great keepsake! The menus carried the lantern motif and were mounted on sea foam card stock. Table numbers were designed using vintage postcards from St. Michaels.
Guests received a welcome bag, tied with a welcome tag from Lisa and Toby. Each bag had a box of homemade twix-style candy bars (yum!) for a bayside break. We also designed a 12-page weekend itinerary that included the a sweet note from Toby and Lisa, a vintage-style map of St. Michaels, a list of Restaurants and things to do, and of course schedule and transportation info. The programs were printed on ivory cover stock and tied with a strand of rafia. Cheers to a fabulous wedding, Lisa and Toby! Look for more of our work with Pineapple Productions in the future!

New Wedding Invitation

Happy Sunday! Just wanted to share a wedding invitation designed for an April wedding at the Tampa art museum. Elizabeth wanted sleek modern with a touch of elegance. We also designed Elizabeth + Justin's Save the Date postcards.

Jennifer + Nate Wedding Invitations and Wedding Day

Hello All! Hoping your weekend is fabulous! Today I'm sharing the wedding suite for my cousin's wedding! Jennifer and I are 1 year apart, and have been incredibly close growing up. I was so blessed to be not only a bridesmaid, but also the designer for all of her paper needs! Jennifer has been one of our biggest fans as we grow this business, and my sister and I both are so grateful for her support.
Jennifer lives in Tampa, and her venue for the ceremony and reception was the Grand Hyatt on the bay. She wanted a crisp, clean color palette with sunny yellows, grays, and blues, with a blend of modern and traditional.

Following the ceremony, guests entered the cocktail area and enjoyed delicious apps before dinner. I designed these drink flags, as well as drink straws (not pictured) to place around the bar.
For guest seating, we decided to use travel tags because there were so many people that traveled to the wedding, and for all of us Alabama folk...well it was a vacation! I found a large gold frame at Hobby Lobby and sprayed it with a high gloss white, then filled it with corkboard that was covered with a soft gray velvet fabric. This is where we hung the seating tags for guests to pick up as they entered the dining area after cocktails and yummy quick bites.
Jenn put together a fantastic candy bar for guests to enjoy, and pack into little take home boxes. She found all different sizes of apothecary jars and I made the corresponding labels.
The whole fam had a great time! A wedding day success and wonderful trip!
