Elizabeth + Eric Save the Dates
We recently designed a save the date for a client who saw paper items in an issue of Celebrate Magazine that I had designed while I was art director. The story in the magazine was a rehearsal dinner, and the menus used this bird motif with a monogram in the center. My client requested that this design be translated to a Save the Date, and I think it worked perfectly!
Featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs!
We were so excited to collaborate with Brittany Lott at Elle Affairs here in Birmingham for an Italian Garden Wedding shoot! We worked with Elle, along with incredible wedding dress designer Heidi Elnora, the fabulous Molly Green Boutique, and amazing photographer Kelly Cummings of Spindle Photography. So happy to be part of a great shoot and we are thrilled to be featured on Elizabeth Anne! Click here to see the post!
Alden + Gavin Wedding Day
We had the pleasure of once again working with Pineapple Productions on a BEAUTIFUL wedding in Middleburg, Virginia this past spring that I've been waiting to share. I am beyond thrilled that Weddings Unveiled Magazine chose to feature Alden and Gavin's special day. This was an amazing couple that was brought together through the mutual love of horses and horse training. They have a fabulous story that you'll have to read in the magazine, but as you can see, we strived for true equestrian excellence! Special thanks to Jennifer Hughes Photography
and of course the girls at Pineapple Productions!
Capitol Hill Save the Dates
I designed these save-the-dates for a couple in Washington D.C. that was looking for a simple design that incorporated the iconic Capitol building and especially the Washington monument. With a palette of grays and blush, you really can't go wrong! I love a wedding piece that out-of-town guests are excited to receive, and sets the tone for the wedding weekend. These measure 4.25 x 6.25 and were sent with a matching gray envelope. I always offer a few different options on custom orders, and thought I'd share another of the options. I like it just as much!
A St. Michaels Soiree
I once again had the pleasure of working with Pineapple Productions for a wedding in St. Michaels, Maryland. You may remember the Save the Dates I previously posted, and I promised more from this beautiful wedding so...here it is! All photography courtesy of the verytalented Jacqueline Campbell. Visit her blog for more gorgeous pictures from the event.
For this special day, we designed postcards for guests to leave sweet words for Lisa & Toby. What a great keepsake! The menus carried the lantern motif and were mounted on sea foam card stock. Table numbers were designed using vintage postcards from St. Michaels.
Guests received a welcome bag, tied with a welcome tag from Lisa and Toby. Each bag had a box of homemade twix-style candy bars (yum!) for a bayside break. We also designed a 12-page weekend itinerary that included the a sweet note from Toby and Lisa, a vintage-style map of St. Michaels, a list of Restaurants and things to do, and of course schedule and transportation info. The programs were printed on ivory cover stock and tied with a strand of rafia. Cheers to a fabulous wedding, Lisa and Toby! Look for more of our work with Pineapple Productions in the future!

New Wedding Invitation
Happy Sunday! Just wanted to share a wedding invitation designed for an April wedding at the Tampa art museum. Elizabeth wanted sleek modern with a touch of elegance. We also designed Elizabeth + Justin's Save the Date postcards.
Jennifer + Nate Wedding Invitations and Wedding Day
Hello All! Hoping your weekend is fabulous! Today I'm sharing the wedding suite for my cousin's wedding! Jennifer and I are 1 year apart, and have been incredibly close growing up. I was so blessed to be not only a bridesmaid, but also the designer for all of her paper needs! Jennifer has been one of our biggest fans as we grow this business, and my sister and I both are so grateful for her support.
Jennifer lives in Tampa, and her venue for the ceremony and reception was the Grand Hyatt on the bay. She wanted a crisp, clean color palette with sunny yellows, grays, and blues, with a blend of modern and traditional.
For guest seating, we decided to use travel tags because there were so many people that traveled to the wedding, and for all of us Alabama folk...well it was a vacation! I found a large gold frame at Hobby Lobby and sprayed it with a high gloss white, then filled it with corkboard that was covered with a soft gray velvet fabric. This is where we hung the seating tags for guests to pick up as they entered the dining area after cocktails and yummy quick bites.
Jenn put together a fantastic candy bar for guests to enjoy, and pack into little take home boxes. She found all different sizes of apothecary jars and I made the corresponding labels.
The whole fam had a great time! A wedding day success and wonderful trip!

Annie + Zac Save the Date
Sharing a postcard Save the Date with you! This D.C. wedding is another event we are working on with Pineapple Productions and as always, we are absolutely thrilled! Annie and Zac are will be married in the National Cathedral in D.C.!!! Amazing, right?
Lisa + Toby Save the Date
Here is another fabulous project we've been working on with Pineapple Productions in D.C. Its always such a pleasure to work with these girls and their clients! The bride collected vintage postcards from St. Michaels, Marylandm and specifically the Maritime Museum (the wedding venue) for the Save the Date postcard. We love designing these postcards. They are always one of a kind, and add such a special touch to the big day. We are using the rest of the collection of postcards for the table numbers at the reception, as well as guest postcards! Guests will be able to send postcards from the wedding weekend! We will definitely post more from this wedding in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
A Patriotic Affair
Hello all! 2012 is in full swing around here! We hope yours is off to a fabulous start, and we look forward to all it will bring! Today I'm posting a wonderful Washington DC wedding we designed for this past summer. It has been featured a few places, and I thought yesterday...did I ever post it to the blog? Forgetful me...I knowI posted the save the dates before, but here they are as a refresher...
I was asked to design wedding day pieces as well, and here we are:
I designed a folded menu to sit in the center of each table. The wedding was held at the Hay-Adams, and the client found a 1960s original menu from the restaurant to base the design on. I also designed postcards featuring vintage postcards from DC for guests to write well wishes on for the bride and groom. Additionally for guests, especially those from out of town, we designed an itinerary that was a 11 x 14 map when unfolded.
